A compact solidly built grinder with stepless easily repeatable settings. Superb for single dosing and effortlessly moving between different beans and espresso machines. Output always tastes great. Near zero wastage. Perfect with any Olympia Express machine and a solid choice to pair with others. Performs on par with grinders that are more than double the physical size and price. Thank you Cerini crew. Your service was impeccable.

Nice construction, zero retention, and quiet grinding make the Moca SD Espresso Grinder worth the price. If it lasts as long as my Olympia Cremina (34 years and counting!) it will be money well spent.

My first time having a heavy duty grinder and it’s working great. It’s definitely taking some time to zero in for a perfect grind.

I haven't had this grinder for too long, so I can't say that much about the coffee it produces (so far with the few coffees I have tried, it is tastier than with the Eureka Silenzio I had before).
There are two things that you need to be aware of when using the Moca SD.
1. If you go too fine in size, the beans tend to clog the grinder (I guess due to its single dose/low retention design). So be careful adjusting to finer sizes - go in small increments.
2. The stopping mechanism for the dial is cumbersome if you have to go really fine, since you might have to move it twice to go fine enough. I have removed the screw completely, which means that you have to remember how many turns your coffee beans need to be ground to achieve the correct pressure. For some more lighter roasted beans, I have yet to get to 9 bar on my Cremina (something you don't have to get to, as 6 bars taste really well, IMHO).

Hands down, this is the best espresso grinder I have ever owned! This is the purchase of a lifetime, no need to ever replace this with any other grinder from any other company. Cerini Coffee recommended this machine and they were right. This machine is the perfect complement to the Olympia Cremina SL and a single dose grinder is the way to go! Once you figure out the proper dosage, single or double basket and type of bean, it's dialed in and every shot is consistent with the spring lever. Thank you Johnny and Cerini Coffee! A+++
